When should I bring my child to the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends children should have a dental exam every six months, or more frequently if the pediatric dentist recommends it based on their oral health needs.

‍Frequency of dental exams:
- Biannual exams help monitor oral health closely and address any issues promptly.
- More frequent visits may be necessary for children at higher risk of dental problems.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends scheduling the first dental visit by the child’s first birthday or within six months after the first tooth erupts.

What will my child's first appointment look like?

At Kanopi Kids, we make sure your child's first visit is fun, relaxed, and all about comfort! From the moment they arrive, they’ll be welcomed by our friendly team and our Chief Comfort Officer, Kai, who’s here to make everyone feel at ease.

Kids can play with toys, enjoy some refreshments, and get settled in. We’ll take a few quick photos and scans to check their smile, followed by a gentle exam and cleaning. It’s all designed to be easy breezy, making their first dental visit a happy, stress-free experience!

What should we do with a dental emergency?

Dental emergencies are our priority! Call us right away, and we'll work to see your child the same day.

Where are you located?

We are located at 3110 Buchanan Rd, Suite B, Antioch, CA 94509.

Once your visit is complete, treat your family to a meal at the Subway right next door. For a fun family outing, head over to the Somersville Towne Center, just a 4-minute drive away, where you can explore numerous stores and dining spots.

Orchard Square Shopping Center, located only 3 minutes away, offers even more shopping and dining options, perfect for spending quality time with your kids. Don't forget to check out the Grocery Outlet next door for any last-minute necessities.

Public transport users will appreciate the nearby bus stop at Buchanan Rd and Somersville Rd, providing easy access to our location.
